What’s HSPI
The major features of HSPI include:
1. Display waveform with zoom, pan, and cursor.
2. Export waveform in text format or in hspice PWL
sub-circuit format.
3. Digitize and visualize analog waveform in digital
bits based threshold voltages, and highlight glitch and
ringback for each data bit.
4. Measure signal quality such as ring back, noise
margin, and etc.
5. Measure signal timing such as slew rate, flight
time, setup/hold time, pulse width, duty cycle, and
etc.
6. Visualize eye diagram and eye mask.
Support overlay eye diagram from multiple files.
7. Measure noise and timing margin of eye diagram.
8. Measure signal jitter and flight time jitter.
9. Measure DDR3 signal quality and timing, including
tangent slew, automatic derating, and etc.
10. Measure signal pull-in / push-out or setup / hold
SSO due to power delivery noise.
What's new
Version 3.1 now adds:
1. Add extended mask mode in serial bus center. This new mask mode applies to
some new interface spec such as V-by-1 for digital display panel. It also can
accommodate some irregulator mask shape such as DDR trapezoidal mask under serial bus center.
2. Add “data valid extended” in DDR3 setup and hold time measurement.
The new mode recycles the originally discarded shorter bits in bit split scenario
(see manual) and provides more robust setup and hold time measurement.
3. Rewrite the serial bus report algorithm for non-automatic mask center
setting for more accurate time margin measurement.
4. Add extended derating tables for DQ/DQS by extending each row to cover
all the "not supported" cells (JESD79-3D page-204).
5. Save/Load all HSPI settings and lists in text based project file (*.hspi).
So user can customize HSPI with text editor or scripts.
6. Quick eye (qEye) in the waveform plotting window for fast eye diagram
plotting.
7. Pessimistic jitter in serial bus center. This captures uncertainty of the
detector threshold with jitter.
